Afton Alps offers skiing and snowboarding. Nearly 300 acres located in the beautiful Saint Croix River Valley, just minutes from the Twin Cities. Afton offers 50 runs, 18 chairlifts, two wonder carpet conveyors, five chalets and three rental shops. Serious winter fun is what it's all about at Buck Hill! We offer skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing within 15 minutes of either downtown Minneapolis or St.Paul. Day or night, weekend or weekday, Buck Hill is buzzing with excitement. We feature the longest magic carpet in the USA that features a covered bridge over another trail, making learning to ski and snowboard easier and more exciting than ever. Whether your coming just for fun or interested in one of our many award winning ski teams or programs Buck Hill has you covered.
Downhill skiers, snowboarders & tubers will find Buena Vista to be the area's premier spot to enjoy their sport. Sitting astride the continental divide, there are 16 downhill runs, the longest (2,000 feet) boasting a 230-foot drop. The ski area features four chairlifts, a beginners tow, and a three-story chalet with warming fireplace and cafe.
Coffee Mill, named after a historic navigational point along the mighty Mississippi, offers the best of coulee skiing with a unique "bowl" arrangement for convenient lift accessibility and protection from cold winter winds. Extra long slopes combined with high-capacity chairs provide a skiing experience second to none. Modern snowmaking and daily grooming insure great snow throughout the season. The majestic area offers fantastic views of river valleys and two states with unparalleled beauty.

But wait! What about the rest of the year! In 2015 our brand new, purpose built mountain biking trails will be ready to ride! Flow trails, gravity fed trails, and a skills park will offer riders of all ability some fun and sun in the beautiful scenery at Detroit Mountain!
Tucked away within the Three Rivers Park District in Maple Grove, Minnesota, the winter recreation area has everything for winter fun. The area features a lighted snow-tubing hill, beginner downhill ski and snowboard area and terrain park, and lighted cross-country ski trails, all with snowmaking. The area has a large lodge featuring outstanding food, equipment rentals, and the acclaimed Three Rivers Park District SnowSports Academy. Elm Creek is great fun for families and groups alike!

Located within Three Rivers Park District, Hyland Lake Park Reserve, five minutes from the Mall of America, just south of Interstate 494 and Highway 100 in Bloomington, Minnesota. Hyland is known for some of the best snowmaking and grooming in the Midwest and its terrain park is full of progressive and innovative features The 1,000-acre park reserve features extensive winter recreational activities including lighted cross-country ski trails, snowshoe trails and a Nordic ski jumping complex.
Lutsen Mountains offers mountain skiing without the airfare with 4 mountains, 92 runs and a 1,000-foot vertical. Skiers and snowboarders enjoy terrain for all abilities from easy cruisers to back country terrain, two mountain chalets, the Midwest's only gondola, and phenomenal views of Lake Superior. Terrain park features available on all four mountains. Lodging facilities in the area, including ski-in/ski-out resorts and hotels, are available with lift-and-lodging packages on Lutsen.com.
Mount Kato Ski Area is located in the thick of the scenic valley that runs along the Minnesota River, just one mile south of Mankato. 19 trails and eight chairlifts make for a non-crowded experience for all skier abilities. Unwind in our large chalet with great food or enjoy flame-grilled food and your favorite beverage in The Lift Bar. Non-skiers can enjoy our snow tubing with two tows. Ski great snow at Mount Kato!
Mt Ski Gull has been in operation for over 50 years, serving the Brainerd Lakes Area. The hill has 12 ski runs, three lifts, a dedicated terrain park with high speed rope tow, and one of the largest tubing hills in the state. Mt Ski Gull has a rental department featuring Rossignal skis and snow boards. The chalet has two fireplaces, a grill and seating to relax between runs.
Mt Ski Gull is a 501c3 nonprofit, that receives no local, state or federal funding. The ski hill relies on fundraising, grants, donations and partnerships. Our mission is to provide challenging activities in a fun and healthy environment.
Located just northwest of the Twin Cities, Powder Ridge is easily accessible from Interstate 94 or Highway 55. Our 15 trails sit high above the local landscape creating a panoramic view of the surrounding area. A large chalet with two food service areas and an adult lounge create a comfortable atmosphere to relax between runs. Snow tubing is available for non-skiers or boarders, and a terrain park with its own tow is a hit with our more adventurous guests.
Spirit Mountain is a ski and snowboard recreation area in Duluth, MN. We were built in 1974 and since then have increased our number of trails by 78% and have tripled the size of our Chalet. In 2010 we expanded our recreation opportunities when we proudly built “Timber Twister”, the first Alpine Coaster in the Midwest! That was quickly followed in 2011 with the addition of the "Timber Flyer" Zip Line, a 9-hole Mini Golf Course, and a Snow Tubing Park... all of which make up the year-round Spirit Mountain Adventure Park. 2012 will bring the opening of a NEW Spirit Express II Chairlift, and we are scheduled to open a NEW Chalet on Grand Avenue in the winter of 2013, including a year-round restaurant known as the Riverside Bar & Grill. Then in the spring / summer of 2013 we are looking forward to opening the first of our downhill mountain bike trails.
We are located just minutes from downtown Duluth and all of it's amenities, and as you make your way down our long and winding slopes you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Superior and the St. Louis Bay. We offer a variety of terrain for skiers and snowboarders alike, and host several races and competitions throughout the season. Located less than an hour from the Twin Cities and north of Rochester in the Cannon River Valley, Welch Village has 61 runs including the Back Bowl. We are one of the largest in the region, offering some of the best terrain, snowmaking and grooming, while remaining one of the favorites of Midwest skiers and boarders. Skilink Learning Center, winter camping for groups and two chalets add to the great experience of skiing or riding at Welch Village.
Located in beautiful Taylors Falls (less than an hour from the Twin Cities), Wild Mountain offers great terrain spread over 100 acres in the beautiful St. Croix River Valley. With one of the largest snowmaking and grooming fleets in the Midwest, we make excellent slope conditions regardless of the snow in your backyard. Lessons available for all ages & abilities 7 days a week. In addition to great skiing and snowboarding we also have snow tubing with one of the biggest snow tubing hills in MN.
